Philanthropy
Members of Alpha Sigma Alpha are committed to improving our communities and that commitment does not end with college. In fact, that is often just the beginning of a lifetime of rewarding involvement with philanthropy and community service.
Financial gifts to the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation underwrite programs that benefit collegians and alumnae. The Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation is committed to promoting service, leadership and lifelong learning through its financial support of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority and its members. The Special Olympics, one of Alpha Sigma Alpha’s national philanthropies, remains important to members long after they graduate. Each year, the Special Olympics touches lives in hundreds of communities across the nation and around the world. Each year hundreds of Alpha Sigma Alpha members make a difference to this important organization. For more information on how you can get involved with Special Olympics, visit the Special Olympics web site at www.specialolympics.org. Members also contribute their time and talents to the S. June Smith Center. The S. June Smith Center is a private non-profit agency providing early identification, education, training and therapy to infants and children in Lancaster County, PA with developmental disabilities and delays. Dr. S. June Smith, founder of the center, was a lifelong Kappa Kappa chapter member. Many chapters have adopted this important organization as their beneficiary. Visit the S. June Smith Center website for more information on how to get involved. Check out our scheduled philanthropy events below and see where you can make a difference! Scheduled Philanthropy Events
